I Can't Believe It

I'm sorry to all you other mothers but my little Sadie just keeps getting cuter!

That was her at 6 months...

And I can't believe she is already 7 months old now. Slow down my Sadie Bug!

Sadie smiles at everyone and gets around very gracefully.

She is notorious for her model pose seen above or should I say plus size model pose.

We love our healthy little chunk!

Kindergarten Pictures

Merik LOVES school! He is such a happy little kindergartner. I can't believe how much they are learning.

It is so cute when I drop him off in the mornings and he runs up to the heavy metal door, pulls is open with all his might, holds it open as he greets all the older kids and then runs off down the hall way.

He's such a sweetie!

One more

Just so he doesn't feel left out here is Jaden...
or as we call him Crazy Jaden need I say more!
Even if he is wild I must admit this kid is smart.
He went into his room and built this all by himself!

We were so lucky to have Grandma Jill and Aunt Maleah come visit last month.
Here are a few highlights of our good 'ol Texas fun!
We visited the State Fair...
ate Texas waffles...
and played at the park.

Halloween

Here are a few pictures of the kids on Halloween.
We made it down a few streets to teak-or-treat and headed home where the kids had just as much fun passing out candy!

A Good Laugh

I wanted to get a picture of my kids dressed up all fancy one Sunday morning.
Since Micah was already gone and we only had two minutes to spare this is what I ended up with. Not exactly what I had in mind. I don't know how you other moms do it.
I think I might use the last one for our Chrismas card! We've got Merik the pleaser, Jaden the spitfire, and Sadie pleading for help.
These kids keep me laughing all the time!

Sadie's New Tricks

Sadie loves eating cereal This picture reminds me of that scene from The Incredibles where the mom is feeding Jack Jack and making faces. It's so true. I do it all the time. By the way that's not me in the pic...Grandma Jill and Aunt Maleah came to visit! More pictures to come.

Sadie can sit on her own kind of
for a second or two

Today Sadie discovered the swing

She is also pretty good at getting around. Roll, scoot, creep, wiggle, whatever she needs to do to reach that Power Ranger her brothers have left on the ground. There's no hope for this little girl. Where are the baby dolls!

I Love These Guys

Aren't they a handsome bunch!

And the beautiful lady!

I used to think she looked just like Merik....

but sometimes she looks an awful lot like Jaden too.

Happy Birthday To You

Happy Birthday Grandpa Jeff. The boys said their favorite thing to do with you is to play games in the basement. Thanks for always taking time to go down and play with them!

We love you!

Lake Texoma

When Micah did his triathlon we decided to take a little extra time and make a family vacation of it. We found this cute little cabin off Lake Texoma. You guessed it's on the border of Texas and Oklahoma.

We must have taken a million pictures. Here are just a few.

This was in the clearing just outside the cabin. Do you think Sadie could get a little chubbier or Merik could get a little goofier?

We had fun fishing. Since we didn't actually have any hooks the only thing we caught was "Merik Shark"!

There was a fire pit but since someone forgot the skewers (oops) and the kids were totally worn out from waking up at 4:30am for the race, this was our version of smores. I told the boys this was my kind of camping. Micah quickly corrected me and said "This is not camping." Well it is if you're gonna get me to come!

After a much needed good nights rest, the owner of the cabin let us borrow his boat and shoot across the lake to this beautiful sandy beach. While we were playing Merik asked if we could "move here next". To say the least they loved it!

Can't forget Sadie. She was such an angel the whole trip! Someday she'll be right out there with her brothers. You can see the excitement in her eyes as she watches them play.

Denison Dash

On September 20th Micah participated in his first triathlon, the Denison Dash! He finished 35th overall. Even better he was 2nd in his age group and got a nifty little plaque!
As Micah said "It's addicting." I bet he'll be doing this again.
Here are the stats:
300 meter swim - 6min 38 sec
13.5 mile bike - 41 min 16 sec
3.5 mile run - 27 min 6 sec
TOTAL = 1 hour 18 min 4 sec
getting ready for the swim

Jaden and Sadie waiting for Daddy to come out of the pool

getting ready for the bike and heading outjust across the finish lineThere was a swing set and plenty of dirt for the boys to pay in...can you tell?

My friend Camille participated in the race too!

Micah did amazingly well especially for his first race and after training so hard he's pretty toned. Yep that's my hot husband!
