First day of school! First day of school!

Merik is officially a kindergartner and loves it. We sent him off bright and early for his first day of school yesterday.

Merik was too excited to sit down to eat breakfast and yes he woke up at 7:10 and left at 7:30am. Does he look a little sleepy? Also they do have to wear uniforms which makes it kind of nice when picking out clothes for the day.
Merik practically ran all the way to school (which is only across the street:) and as I helped him put his backpack away he kept saying "I can do this myself Mom." Then he sat down to color and waved us away. Not a tear on either end. I'm so excited for him! He came home happy as could be. His favorite part of the day was "everything" although it was pretty cool to make a special trip to the nurse's office. Apparently he was climbing up the slide while some girls were coming down. Result... a nice bloody nose. Very exciting! I asked if he got in trouble for climbing up the slide and he said "No, but I won't be doing it again tomorrow." I asked if that is what his teacher said and he said yes.
Jaden thoroughly enjoyed be in the big man at home. He wore Merik's clothes and shoes, drank from Merik's cup, and napped in Merik's bed just to name a few of his new adventures. You might think it was because Jaden missed Merik, but no he wants to be just like him and that drives Merik crazy.

Sadie, Sadie, Pretty Lady

I think they like eachother

I am so lucky that my kids get along and have lots of fun together....
...most of the time!

She just couldn't decide

Our princess Sadie has a little extra character when it comes to ears. As Grandma Porter put it when she was in line to pick out her ears she just couldn't decide if she wanted ears like mom or dad so she picked one of each! Her left ear lays very flat and looks like Mom and Merik's. Her right ear pokes out a little and looks like Dad and Jaden's ears. We still love her...but the poor girl will never get to wear her hair in a pony tail!

Our very own baby doll

Everyone tells me Sadie looks like a baby doll. I must say I agree and I think she is so pretty.

On top of that she is the perfect baby. I feed Sadie and put her in bed around 8:30. She wakes up between sometime between 5-6am, eats for about 10 min and then sleeps until 9:30. We usually have some kind of morning outing of swimming (which Sadie loves), going to the gym (where Sadie sits quietly in her car seat and watches everything), or some other errand. Then it's lunch time and I lay Sadie in bed wide awake and she puts her self to sleep for a 3-4 hour nap. I don't know where this behavior came from but we'll keep it!

Sadie LOVES Merik. Whenever she hears his voice she looks all over and wiggles. He is so good to talk to her and play with her. It's adorable! Jaden, well that's another story. He loves to "give her a little kiss Mom" but that's about his whole attention span. Sadie gets a little tense when he rushes past.

She is getting pretty chunky and taller every day. She has great big blue blue eyes that don't miss a thing and a tiny little nose and mouth. Just like a doll! Her hair is wild. It grows every which way and has the cutest curl right in the middle of her forehead. It's brown but you can't miss the red undertones. If you make eye contact with her she will smile real big and start chatting away. The bad thing is she does not like the camera so it's hard to get a good smiling picture.

She gets more and more fun every day!

Yummy!

Merik and Jaden had a blast with my birthday cake. We only had 24 candles...yes that's 2 short and Merik thought that was pretty funny. Half way into the "Happy Birthday" song Jaden had had enough and started blowing out the candles only to discover they had used the trick candles. Another thing Merik thought was pretty funny. Then Jaden dove right in. Who knew he loved chocolate frosting so much. What a boring birthday it would have been without these cuties!

Anybody want some cake?!

What we've been up to...

We are slowly but surly adjusting to life with three kiddos. It helps that Sadie is the perfect baby!

Here are a few of our latest adventures. Getting ready to go swimming.
Apparently not Sadie's favorite thing to do but at leastMerik seems excited!

Jaden has a hard time falling asleep at nights and is often the first to wake in the morning. He is obviously not getting enough rest because it a common occurrence to find him zonked out at 7am after his morning cup of "jucie".

The boys and I love to play with Sadie!

When Jaden and Sadie are napping Merik dives into the candy and otter-pop reserves. He times it just right so he won't have to share.

Jaden has become quite the expert with technology. He figured out that I have the boys favorite websites saved in the favorites tab. He told me, "I just click on this star Mom and we can play pbskids.org". I had to delete the links because my 2 and 5 year old were becoming computer game junkies!

As some of you know Jaden has also learned how to call certain people on speed dial and chat. This wouldn't be such a big deal except for the fact that most of the names on my speed dial live in a time zone 2 hours behind of ours.

Also, this is where Sadie gets to spend a lot of her day. She is pretty content to sit in the kitchen and watch the crazieness going on all around her.

Do I look like my brother?

Sadie 2 months
and
Merik 3 months

Here's Jaden at 3 months too just for fun.
