Easter

Hope you had a happy Easter!

The boys had a blast dying and decorating their eggs.
Love the creativity and yes I'm still finding beads on the floor.

Looking good for church...for a few seconds anyway!

We were lucky enough to have friends and family over for Easter dinner. Our neighbors the Thompsons came which was great because they brought the main dish and homemade rolls. That's right Camille we love you for your food..well a few other things too! Plus Micah's cousin Missy just moved to town so her family was able to join in the chaos. Chaos it was with 8 kids and 6 adults in our cozy home eating off of card tables. Maybe next year I'll have a dinning room for a proper dinner...okay give me two years.

Just being cute

Here are some random pictures of Sadie just being cute!
I can't believe she is already 11 months old. She is thinning out a little. Don't worry she's still a shorty, has adorable rolls on her arms, and nice chunky thighs. Plus the cheeks will be around for a few more years if she follows tradition.
Sadie gets to the action as quick as possible. Mostly it's by crawling and sometimes in a downward dog position if she's wearing a long shirt or dress. Get used to it girlie...fashion before function! She can cruse around furniture or walls and has even taken a few steps.
She likes to clap her hands and waves to everyone.
Her first and only real word is banana. Yes all three syllables. I guess you know what her favorite food is!
Best of all she hugs her glow worm and rocks it while the music is playing. There's hope for this girl yet!

Back in Business

We're Back!!!!!

Here is my attempt at a catch up. Enjoy!

One of the boys favorite past times is to build "pillow forts". This involves every single pillow and blanket in the house. For some reason they're more fun to build than to clean up?!
Jaden, Sadie and I joined our neighborhood playgroup for a tour of the Forney City Fire Station! We simply couldn't miss it because I've noticed 90% of our pictures are taken in our house. My poor middle and youngest children have been deprived of all the fun activities Merik was exposed to. Maybe it's because San Francisco had so much to offer or just maybe it's a little harder to get out of the house with three kids.
Good morning Sadie Bug! Micah mentioned the other day that I should decorate Sadie's room with lady bugs. I asked him if he'd been in there lately because that's the way it's been for over a year now.
(Maybe that's where he got such a good idea!)
Thank goodness for friends who share their toys...especially toys my boys will never have! The Kemptons joined us for a BBQ (Micah's on a quest to make the best burger ever...he's getting pretty close!) and brought along their quads. At first Merik was a hesitant driver but by the end he was zipping around turns, standing up and pumping his arms. Let's just say Jessica and I got ourselves uninvited to the next session. It's a good thing our boys have dad's who understand their craziness.
Finally we attempted to take the kids to visit the Dallas Temple. We've been here almost 2 years and they've never seen it. Now we know why...they all fell asleep on the way over, the gates to the temple grounds were locked, Merik was not happy to get woken up, and Jaden couldn't walk around in his flip-flops. It's the thought that counts right?!
This is the best picture we got!
Gotta love him for trying! At least Sadie had fun!
