A Evening at the Ballet

Friday evening Micah and I went to the San Francisco Ballet performance of Sleeping Beauty! Sheri wanted to go as a girls night but a few of us convinced our husbands to go with us. All eight of us piled into the Probst suburban and headed downtown. The show was at the War Memorial Opera House across from City Hall (yes where they had the infamous gay marriages). The building was beautiful...all marble and gold with red velvet seats. We sat three rows from the top of the theater...but we were center stage. We ran in right before curtain call and Jamie and Sheri didn't make it to their seats so they had to stand until intermission. Jamie brought binoculars and Scott and Micah were amazed at how tight the men's tights were! I don't think it was their favorite place to be but it was nice of them to come and play along while we pretended to be cultured!

Later Micah asked if I would ever go to another ballet and I said yes but not too often. He said that once was enough for him!
