Saturday we visited the Remembered Light exhibit hosted by the Presidio Interfaith Counsel. It is an amazing display of art created around shards of stained glass gathered by a WWII army chaplin during his travels through Europe during the war. He collected shards of glass from damaged or destroyed churches and cathedrals and kept them in a cardboard box for years. Then in 1999 after telling friends about this collection, he was put in contact with a French stained glass artist who organized this project to create works of art. Each display includes the chaplin's story of the shards used in that piece. Here is a link to learn and see more! http://www.interfaith-presidio.org/mcdonald/index.htm
